Just another ho-hum day for Wild fans

Not much to blog about today, as our Minnesota Wild displayed their inconsistencies again last night, losing 4-2 to the Canucks. After giving themselves a 2-0 first period lead, they collapsed and gave up 4 unanswered goals and now stand at 0-3 on this critical 6 game road-trip. The team now sits in

In other Wild news, the team decided that it was best to stand-pat, rather than devour the trade deadline feast that was begging them to partake. No block-buster deals from our club this year, not even a Marian Gaborik trade. It's like the person who gets left behind, while all the others have at the fun. The lack of a deal was really no surprise as Minnesota has a history of making, or not making an impact move at the deadline. The national media barely mentions the Wild this time of season, so even they know that this club is not one to venture to the fun. We all remember the PR disaster that accompanied last season deadline trade for thug Chris Simon, in which the Wild threw away a 6th round pick to get him. And interestingly enough, two seasons ago, Minnesota collected Aaron Voros and Dominic Moore at the deadline, giving up a 7th (2008) & 3rd (2007) rounder respectively. Moore is having a break-out season for Toronto, as he has collected 41 point in 63 games and was one of the medium sized movers today. By the way, he was given away, or claimed off of waivers by the Leafs in January 2008.

So there it is, another boring day for Wild fans...if only we can find a way before next seasons deadline to convince the Wild organization that it's OK to partake in the feast and that this festive, holiday event can be enjoyed by all.
