After reading the piece written by the Wild contributor over at the hockeybuzz-ard (you can read it for yourself as I am not going to regurgitate the specifics), I wanted to go into full attack mode, but decided the best course of action was to ignore it and move on. After all, it was a re-print and not an original scoop, just some info that was passed on. I really didn't want to get into a 'blog battle', as that is not my style and really serves no purpose. And since there have been other Minnesota Wild blogs addressing this piece, I thought there was no need to pile-on. So consider this short entry as nothing more than me talking out loud (something that gets me into trouble from time to time).
It's funny that my latest blog entry addressed the NHL rumor mill, with a focus on the buzz-ard and that Eklund character. At the time though, I really saw no need to lump the other 'team' writers into any specific category, such as labeling them fantasy bloggers . But since then, it seem that the character who covers the Wild has succumbed to the fantasy-land notion. Note the piece at the buzz-ard originally comes from other places, but the fact that it was re-blogged is what raised my attention. For a site that takes itself as serious as they do, you would think that recycling trash would not be their style. However, it looks as if that the Eklund factor at the buzz-ard has the trickle-down effect.
Just for the record, my 'sources' (which include the countless fans who think that this trade proposal is a joke) say that there is no such deal on the table.
