
The Minnesota Wild organization has always had a good television package that gives the team great exposure and coverage. And once again for this upcoming season, the cable, over the air, and national broadcast schedule is one that offers some great coverage. The following is the press release announcing the upcoming broadcast schedule.

MINNESOTA WILD ANNOUNCES 77-GAME
TELEVISION SCHEDULE FOR 2009-10 SEASON
WILD TO MAKE SEVEN NATIONAL
TELEVISION APPEARANCES ON VERSUS
SAINT PAUL/MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – The National Hockey League’s (NHL) Minnesota Wild, in conjunction with FOX Sports North, KSTC-TV, Channel 45 and 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS today announced the club’s cable broadcast and over-the-air television schedule for the 2009-10 season. FOX Sports North will televise a total of 45 games, KSTC-TV, Channel 45 will broadcast 23 contests and 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS will air two matches. The Wild will also make seven national television appearances on VERSUS this season. The start time for the following three games on VERSUS has been changed to 7:00 p.m.: Oct. 26 at Chicago, Jan. 5 at Chicago and Feb. 2 at Dallas.
KSTC-TV, Channel 45 will broadcast the Wild’s first two games of the regular season, Oct. 3 at Columbus and the home opener against Anaheim Oct. 6. Additional highlights of the 23-game schedule include seven contests against Northwest Division foes, including three against the Edmonton Oilers, two versus the Vancouver Canucks and one each against the Calgary Flames and Colorado Avalanche. KSTC-TV, Channel 45’s broadcast schedule features 19 different Wild opponents, including seven Eastern Conference teams (Atlanta Thrashers, Boston Bruins, Florida Panthers, New Jersey Devils, New York Islanders, New York Rangers and Philadelphia Flyers). KSTC-TV, Channel 45 will broadcast 17 games at Xcel Energy Center and six road telecasts.
FOX Sports North’s telecast schedule features 22 different opponents including the Wild’s first game against the defending Stanley Cup champion Pittsburgh Penguins Oct. 31. FOX Sports North will broadcast 14 games against Northwest Division opponents, including four each against Calgary and Colorado, and three versus Edmonton and Vancouver. FOX Sports North will also broadcast four matches against the Los Angeles Kings and three each versus the Detroit Red Wings and St. Louis Blues. FOX Sports North will also telecast games against the following Eastern Conference opponents: Buffalo Sabres, Carolina Hurricanes (2), Montreal Canadiens, Ottawa Senators, Philadelphia Flyers, Pittsburgh Penguins, Tampa Bay Lightning and Washington Capitals. FOX Sports North’s schedule includes 19 telecasts at Xcel Energy Center and 26 road contests. Wild Live on FOX Sports North airs before and after every game telecast.
5 EYEWITNESS NEWS will broadcast two Sunday afternoon home games, Feb. 14 against Vancouver and March 7 versus Calgary. Both contests will start at 2:00 p.m. and be simulcast on KSTC-TV, Channel 45.

KSTC-TV, Channel 45, the Twin Cities only independent television station, begins its fifth season as the exclusive over-the-air broadcast partner of the Minnesota Wild. KSTC-TV, Channel 45 sports broadcasts include the Emmy Award-winning Minnesota State High School League Championship Tournaments, the NBA’s Minnesota Timberwolves, Saint Paul Saints baseball and the fast-paced action of the NHL’s Minnesota Wild. Part of the rich broadcasting heritage of Hubbard Broadcasting, one of the only family-owned television groups in the country, KSTC-TV, Channel 45 is the station to turn to for local news, top rated network syndication and local sports action. Reaching more than 1.6 million television homes, KSTC-TV, Channel 45, is also available on cable channel 12 (on most metro cable stations) and is carried on DirecTV and Dish Network satellite systems.
The Wild’s high-definition television schedule will be announced at a later date. All Minnesota Wild telecasts will feature play-by-play announcer Dan Terhaar and color analyst Mike Greenlay.
