Fantasy Season

No, not a Wild post here but instead I am gearing up for another season of fantasy hockey. I have two leagues that I would like to fill so I am throwing this out to anyone who may be interested. These are semi-serious leagues and would prefer those who are active. The first league will be our 6th season at Yahoo and consists of a roto style scoring with an auto draft. I have it set to 20 teams and still need 11 to fill it. The second league is over at ESPN and is a smaller, 10 team league. This league is a points based scoring league and will have a live auction draft, which is set for October 2, 10:00 pm CST.

The Yahoo league can be reduced as far as how many teams are allowed in and conversely, the ESPN league can be expanded based on how much interest there is.

Yahoo finally got around to allowing registration on the upcoming NHL fantasy season...and I have created a league with a max of 20 teams. As I posted below, this will be a 'PG' contest, fun but also competitive. Please inquire if you have any questions and I'll do my best to answer...I'll get some more info here later as I am rushing to get some zzzz's...

Here is a few more pieces of info for you about our league and Yahoo. This is the first season that Yahoo is offering their free 'StatTracker', which is a very nice feature that gives managers live scoring stats. This alone was the #1 reason why our game moved to ESPN for last season (because they offered this for free)...and since the live stats is no longer a premium service at Yahoo, this along with the fact that IMO Yahoo offers a better fantasy game, caused the move back. In addition, Yahoo is offering their Draft Kit for free, which in seasons past was another premium feature.

We have a few weeks before things really get going, but as I stated above and below, keep in mind that our league has a 20 team limit. If you have any questions, let me know.

Consider this as the 'first call' for all NHL fantasy managers to join our league...or to at least get ready to join. This will be our 6th season hosting an NHL fantasy league and I am looking for participants who are looking for a laid-back, fun league. Our past groups have not been the total hard-core members but instead more of the leisure type. Don't get me wrong, we always have tough competitors, me probably being the biggest, but we keep it rated 'G'. For those of you that have never played, I encourage you to give our league a try, you will be instantly hooked.

Our league will most likely venture back over to yahoo for this season, which is where we started. Last season we played the ESPN version but I am leaning on going the yahoo route again. What I am looking for at this time is simply an acknowledgment that you are interested...yahoo is not up and running yet but I do want to get a head-start. Our past leagues have had as few as 9 managers and as many as 20 (I would prefer to get a big number this season) and I see this as the more the merrier game.
